Good day, I'm Markus. I have been dreaming of owning acreage all my adult life. I have searched all over northern Idaho and eastern Washington. I have seen a lot of beautiful land from treed slopes of Hauser Lake, ID down to rolling farmland in Rockford, WA and over to lakes and rivers near Newport, WA. However, my plans never materialized.
In the fall of 2015 everything came together. I found a piece of land in the Mead school district that my wife agreed to! I contacted my friend and realtor, John Timme and we started investigating the land. See, it wasn't even listed yet. Some neighboring plots nearby were listed but I like this one (and so did my wife). After playing tag with the listing realtor we got our offer in and after an offer and a couple counter-offers we signed. (I have to mention that US Bank provided us with the land loan with very little hassle or conditions and a great interest rate for raw land, 4.5% and a 30 year term with NO balloon. Great bank!)
With everything coming together we are now starting the planning process of getting our new house built. I will try to blog every step of the process for those interested and to keep a journal of our (hopefully) stress-less experience (don't you dare burst my bubble yet, I am just starting). ;)
